Storage T R Savage recently invested in a ‘racking system’ to streamline the storage and distribution of raw materials.  In essence the racks work as a housing area for raw materials in limbo, whether for newly received castings, work in progress, or components awaiting assembly.   The racks are also used as a central base for our unique jigs and fixtures. These jigs and fixtures are delivered to the machinist, prior to the start of every job, resulting in quicker set up times.  At T R Savage our quality assurance system affects all facets of production. This quality control starts as soon as any raw material hits our floor. We stamp and colour code all materials and then record it, with a ‘certificate of conformance’ from the mill attached. The allocated number stays with the product all the way until it leaves us for delivery. If there is any fault or concern with the standard of the material we can track it back to the precise batch delivered to us.
