Metrology Our climate controlled metrology room houses machinery, measuring tools and gauges which are regularly updated to keep us at the leading edge of our industry. At T R Savage our inspection processes are of utmost importance and our Quality Control Officer, Kenji, sets a consistently high standard which all our employees are expected to maintain at all times. He is supported by Oliver, our full time inspector, who consistently keeps our machinists producing quality parts.  We have recently added a Computerised Measuring Machine (CMM) to ensure our precise standards are met consistently. The CMM is used for measuring both our own and customer’s products. With onboard integrated software customers have access to reports on all their products, as per their requirements.  Amongst the other equipment housed in Metrology we have a hardness tester, projector, set of high precision scales and a surface tester.  Our large granite work bench, combined with a myriad of hand held instruments, means we can examine and measure holes, threads, diameters, surfaces and pitches of most parts regardless of size.
